OPERATIONS MANAGER

A construction operations manager typically oversees several projects, coordinating budgets, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables. They are responsible for working with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.

They typically perform these duties across multiple projects at once, coordinating not just an individual job site’s progress but also their overall organization’s.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

-DEGREE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT OR EQUIVALENT

-POLICE CLEARANCE VALID IN THE LAST YEAR

PAINTER

Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of structures, buildings and other surfaces
Execute pre-painting activities
( including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc. if required)
Follow management’s instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies
Follow the owners, manager or property manager’s instruction in executing the job utilizing appropriate finishes and applications
Comply with OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals
Stay up-to-date with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
Carry out after project cleaning of areas, supplies, and equipment at the completion of project
Assist in storing leftover paint in the appropriate locations
Support team with special maintenance projects as needed.

TILER

A tiler is a person whose job is to lay tiles on floors and walls.

The main duties of a tiler are as follows:

Inspecting surfaces to be tiled
Providing quotes and estimates (e.g. number of tiles and quantities of materials required, installation time and costs)
Surface preparation work (e.g. removing old grout and cement and cleaning and levelling surfaces)
Laying tiles in accordance with tiling plan, cutting tiles where necessary
Grouting gaps between tiles
Carrying out finishing work, where necessary

All applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience and be fully vaccinated

CARPENTER

Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work
Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals
Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations

LICENSED REFRIGERATION ENGINEER

Installing, troubleshooting and overhauling entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Measuring refrigeration or air conditioning components for installation
Working with hand and power tools to install refrigeration or air conditioning components
Measuring and cutting piping, and connecting piping using welding equipment
Testing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for leaks
Performing routine maintenance
Repairing and replacing components for entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems

All applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience and be fully vaccinated

LICENSED PLUMBER

Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes
Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders
Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.
Repair dishwashers and kitchen equipment that incorporate gas or water consumption
Receive and complete work orders

LICENSED SCAFFOLDER

Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site
Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
Erecting scaffolding poles
Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures
Laying planks for workers to walk on
Fixing guard rails and safety netting
Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding through to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops and temporary roofs
Working on-site in all weather

All applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience and be fully vaccinated

LICENSED ELECTRICIAN

Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned
